Hi there! I am quite new to these things so I apologize if this was discussed somewhere else.
I am trying to configure my ARGON EAN.
The idea is to have OMV7 on the SSD as a boot disk and 4 x 2.5 HDD for the storage.
It works very well with only two of the SATA ports populated (at the moment SATA3 and SATA4), but if I insert another HDD on the other SATA ports, the system do not see them.
When I try to boot from a SD card without the M.2 SSD it works, I can see the 4 drives, but if I boot from the M.2 SSD or even if I boot from the SD but with the M.2 SSD inserted in the USD port, it shows me only two of the four drives…
I’m facing an issue with my Raspberry Pi 5 setup and could use some advice. I’m using the GeekPi Argon Neo 5 case and have installed an M.2 NVMe SSD to act as the boot drive. However, the Pi doesn’t seem to boot from it.
Here’s what’s going on:
• The NVMe SSD is properly installed, and the OS has been flashed onto it.
• The Pi powers on, but it’s not booting or showing up on my network.
• There’s an unused cable that came with the Argon case (labeled 12172023V1.2 and 219724A_P103-240125), and I’m wondering if it’s necessary for the boot process.
I’d love to hear from anyone who’s set up this case or booted a Pi 5 from NVMe.
• Is there a specific way to use this cable?
• Do I need to update the Pi’s firmware or change any bootloader settings?
