Designing the new POE+ hat for rPi 5

Came across this interesting article on designing the new POE+ hat for the Pi 5.

It got me thinking - there is enough room essentially wasted on the Argon One V3 M.2 NVME expansion board that maybe a future generation board will be able to incorporate POE? Or a plug-in daughter board solution similar to the BLASTR DAC?

Just something I’d love to see Argon40 Team add to an already amazing product.

The Argon NEO 5 and Argon V5 (new case launched November 2024) can accommodate the upcoming POE+ hat for the Pi 5

That’s cool, here is a link to the case you mentioned

Personally I would hope you can still bring POE+ to the Argon One V3 case via an update to the M.2 NVME PCIE expansion board.

Hi there,

Could you please confirm if the Neo 5 is compatible to any of those PoE HATs?

When will the Argon ONE V5 case be available to order?

Wils in post just above indicated it launched in Nov 2024 but it shows out of stock on the Argon website and I am yet to see a retailer that stocks it.

I am keen to buy the dual NVME version of the case.
