Could you please place the manuals for the Argon ONE V5 M.2 case, the Argon ONE V5 M.2 NVME Expansion Board and Argon ONE V5 Industria OLED module on the Argon Resources page please. Argon Resources – Argon 40 Technologies Web Store
This is an exciting case and I’m also looking forward to reading the manual to learn more about it. In the mean time I have some questions based on the pictures I’ve seen so far.
It looks like the NVMe board is supplied with additional power, perhaps via a jumper from the daughter board that handles power, HDMI, audio, and additional USB? If so, this is a nice improvement over the Neo 5 M.2.
Is the Dual NVMe board still on the way?
Will you test the official Raspberry Pi NVMe SSDs?
I assume the antenna cut-outs are only to be used by HATs, since the Raspberry Pi 5 has no Wi-Fi connector?
I thought I read somewhere that you recommend your own PWR power supply for this case. Will it be available in black?
Will all the case screws be long enough? Yes, I have a couple of Neo 5 M.2 cases, one of which came with short screws.
I’ve had this case for a few weeks now, so I thought I would answer my own questions in case it helps anyone deciding whether or not to get the case. I think the case is great, as I have with all of the Argon 40 cases I’ve purchased.
The NVMe board does indeed receive extra power.
I upgraded the Single NVMe case I originally purchased to Dual NVMe and it works great. While the Single NVMe version can run at PCIe Gen3 speeds the Dual NVMe version is limited to PCIe Gen2 due to the onboard PCIe switch chip.
The official Raspberry Pi NVMe SSDs work great in this case.
At least one of the antenna cutouts is intended for use with the optional Zigbee Module.
I gave up waiting for a black PWR Supply and am using an official Raspberry Pi Power Supply.
Not only are the screws long enough, both the case and the Dual NVMe upgrade came with extra screws.
The activity LEDs for the NVMe drives are a nice touch.
