I may have put my self down the rabbit hole here. I installed the DAC and ran the Script I hope successfully. My hope was to enable and disable it via the audio profiles in Kodi. Having tried this I get no output plugging headphones into the transformer.
Ultimately I would like the output to my TV via HDMI (as it is now) but also the ability to switch to the output of the DAC for my Stereo. Thank You
Which script and which distribution?
If your card isn’t faulty in hardware, you should get the DAC advertised as an additional sound device as soon you have added this line to your config.txt, followed by a reboot.
dtoverlay=hifiberry-dacplus,slave
Is that already the case? If yes, do you have checked via alsamixer whether the headphone output is not muted?
Than you for your reply. I did not add that line to my boot. However what I am running is libelect 13 so I am looking where to add it there.
Thank you.
As described in the LibreELEC Wiki, you can edit the config.txt file as follows:
- mount -o remount,rw /flash
- nano /flash/config.txt
- mount -o remount,ro /flash
- reboot
Thank you thats done Now I have to figure out how to set it as a audio profile..thank you
