long time ago i brought Argon one V2 for my Raspberry pi 4, everything is perfect, connected on TV with my JLAB Epic keyboard and mouse. Few days ago, from Botland.de i got (bought) :
Argon40 27W USB C - 5.1V/5A
Argon One M.2 NVMe expansion board - for Raspberry Pi 4B
inside i placed Kingston SNV2S/250G
and installed Raspberry OS on my NVME disk. From that moment start my problem. My Keyboard and mouse dont work properly. Distance is about 3 meter between my Raspberry and keyboard/ mouse just making connecting and disconnecting both of them. Becouse i have Bluetooth on Keyboard and mouse not just wifi, i tryed BT but same problem, connecting and disconnecting. Its just work when my keyboard/ mous is in range of 0,5 meter maximum. NVME board is version 3.2. Is there any solution or someone else had some like this problem??
The behaviour is to be expected. It is a known problem that USB3 bus transfers can interfere with other wireless devices such as DECT, WiFi, BT, … because the base frequencies are too close to each other. 2.5GHz (USB3) vs. 2.4GHz (BT/WiFi/DECT …).
The expansion board is connected via USB3, so I fear that this is also the reason in your case. To mitigate the physical effect, only more distance and/or better shielded cables will help. You should try using an external dongle for your keyboard, perhaps with a USB extension to increase the distance.
Next day i bought usb extended cable that solved my problem becouse i have usb dongle its one dongle for both keyboard and mous was direkt in raspberry connected. Now is on cable and mistery is gone. Ok i know bluetooth will have problems but BT i dont use. Thanx one more time.
Many wireless technologies for costumer devices uses 2.4GHz (ISM band) because its license free and with a long range. So it makes no difference which name it has. The used frequency is the important part.
