I own an Argon one M.2 SATA SSD housing.
I’m going to install HA on my Raspberry 4.
For running HA, I need to install the image on my SSD.
Here is my question: Is it possible to connect the SATA expansion directly to a PC, w/o damaging anything?

You can connect a usb 3.0 cable to the SSD housing and then to to PC.
No problem
It doesn’t need power or anything. It doesn’t need to be mounted to the case. It’s a pure USB device. It works great for me. If the OS on the drive gets corrupted, you can just plug it into a PC and put a new image on it. You can also get an image backup this way. It’s really convenient.
