Argon ONE M.2 NVME slow

Hi ,

I ordered the Argon One V2 case and Argon ONE M.2 NVME adapter.
Case didn’t arrived yet . But i tried connecting Argon ONE M.2 NVME to my macbook to test a performance via OTG USB3.1 cable and got very disappointed about performance.

I don’t get a write speeds above 30MB/s.
Any advise on what could go wrong ? Is it a broken adapter ? Should i exchange it ?
USB cable seems to be good working with fast flash drives. NVME is Samsung 980 512 GB.

Sounds like it is connected to a USB v1.0 connection…

the connection top the USB is made thru that double USB plug, and that is a bottle neck regarding speed. You can only get usb speeds out of your NVMe.

The Pi 5 improves on that by not using the USB, and allows the NVMe to work a lot faster
