Hello
I recently set up my Argon EON Pi NAS with multiple hard drives, but one of the drives isn’t being detected. The other drives appear in the system without issues, but this particular one doesn’t show up in lsblk
or fdisk -l
.
I have tried swapping SATA cables and even tested the drive on another system, where it works fine.
Could this be a power supply issue, a limitation with the Argon EON’s drive support, or something related to software configuration? I’m running the latest Raspberry Pi OS and have checked dmesg logs, but I don’t see any clear error messages pointing to the problem. Is there a way to manually force the system to recognize the drive or check if the NAS controller is limiting detection?
Checked Argon EON HHD/SSD problem looking for helpServicenow Training guide for reference .
Any insights would be appreciated! If there are specific configurations needed for certain drive types (e.g., SSD vs. HDD, certain file systems), I’d love to know. Also, are there recommended troubleshooting steps to rule out hardware vs. software issues?
Thank you !!
