Overwriting boot spi eeprom fails

After messing up the boot loader, I tried to overwrite the boot spi eeprom of the CM5 according to this post, but the screen showed red instead of green, indicating that the procedure failed.

Any ideas how to rectify this?

I had tried that before, to no avail.

I used the original script to create a recovery image and this time, it worked. Just re-installing everything. Love how you can recover this system even after screwing up badly. You have done a great job, Argon 40!

One suggestion for the next iteration: it would be nice if one could access the otg mode switch without first disassembling the cooler. That could save some time to recover from a screw-up.
